What a fantastic weekend. The DFA party on Friday was possibly the greatest party ever. Ever. Needless to say, we were in rough shape by the time we made it to Philly to play with Mono, but that and the DPB's didn't stop anyone from having fun. Sunday night w/ The Ponys in NYC was equally as intense and exciting. Thanks to all the bands and people who came out. . . and props to the dude that bought us shots of Jager in Philly.

We uploaded some photos from our last 2 tours (both from 2005). Feel free to take a look and drop us a line.

Back from a bbq sauce-soaked trip to Austin and SXSW, or as we like to call it, "Kinda Like Mardi Gras in Williamsburg But With Better Brisket." It was odd and pleasant seeing so many rock friends out of context, but it's nice to know Comeau's White Sox hat works on 6th Street as well as it does on N. Damen Ave.

The shows were great, even the one in the hippie coffee house behind the Greek-themed (female) strip club. Perhaps a future combination of the two would bring us fair trade lap dances and everyone would win.

Well, everyone except the "dancer." Really, they never win in the long run.

Thanks to everyone who was so great to us in Austin: Syd and Steve from French Kiss, Gerard and Nils from Matador, Debbie from 230 but especially thanks to our brother band, Panthers. It could not have been more of a pleasure to play with them on the way down to Texas. Sure, they were all wacked out on Immodium and Day-Quil but they never hesitated to share a skimpy bench seat for one of the many eight hour drives. Also, they rocked harder and harder each night. May the God of Metal especially bless Geoff Garlock and his manly bass amp.

So we've added a few show updates and can't wait to leave for tour with Panthers later this week. We'll be playing three times in Austin at SXSW. (The Frenchkiss showcase is Thursday night, and there are two afternoon parties Friday and Saturday.) We're convinced no one has found this site. If you have, please, come let us know and say hi.

Who knew the midwest could be such a blast in January?
We're back in Brooklyn after a weirdly successful swing through the Rust Belt. (Ok, Chearno's in a van somewhere on the Left Coast, but his girlfriend is here)
Who knew people had nothing better to do on a sub-zero night in Lansing than hang with us? Are they insane? Bored? Super-kind? Whatever the reason, big thanks go out to them and everyone else who came out to see us in DC, Columbus, Chicago, Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland and at N. 6 in W'burg.

Reflections:
• Next time we feel "confused" by a spread of five shirtless dudes wrestling in an Abercrombie and Fitch catalog, we'll remember how one of their corporate credit cards set us up with not one but TWO motel rooms for late-night HBO...all within spitting distance of a Bob Evans. (Thanks, Mike. Keep it shirtless.)
• If you like the Grateful Dead, drop your favorite Dick Picks on the sound guy. He may offer you a "fruity nug".
• They make a good hot dog in Chicago.
• Milwaukee rocks our collective balls. Move there, but don't fuck it up!
• People love to go out in Detroit. But shouldn't they do something with that old baseball stadium? Blow it up, maybe? They could do it at night. and serve drinks..
• Did the guy who played the hour long "turing machine pre-show block" on the Cleveland college radio station actually come to the show or was he so sick of us he went home and watched Scrubs?

Anyway, in theory we'll be updating this site more often.

Oh, you can email us here now at: band@turingmachinemusic.com

Also, look for us and Panthers playing together for a week of shows in March on the way out to SXSW.
Come by and say "hi", we like that.

Welcome to our long overdue website. We scrambled to get this up before our record release show later this month (more on that in a minute). So, needless to say, not everything will be working the way it should and eventually will. The design is still in the works too. Regardless, thanks for finding us.

Our 2nd record, ZWEI (pronounced "tsvai"), was released in late October on Frenchkiss. We'll be celebrating its release on Wednesday, December 15 at Rothko (116 Suffolk St. NYC [at Rivington]). Our friends at Insound have kindly invited us to help celebrate their annual holiday party. The cover is $5 and there will be drink specials. Measles , Mumps, & Rubella and a special guest will also be performing. If you're around, please, come out. It's sure to be a good time, and it will be great to see everyone before people split town for the holidays.

Also, an after party is in the works. Gerhardt and Prog Josh will spin
some cosmic psych that will blow your minds, and, of course, there will be more drink specials to help aid the mind-blowing.

Do come.
